    • Super Guitar Teams is designed for absolute beginners! Our program starts new guitar students at the very basics, so no prior experience is required!

  • No, Super Guitar Teams teaches semi-private lessons (4 max class size) and does not offer group lessons (8-30 max class size). Small class sizes allow us to give students the direct one-on-one attention they need to properly develop as musicians.

    Though Super Guitar Teams has more in common with private lessons. There are two key differences:

    • Our weekly class sessions are 45-minutes, not 30 minutes.

    • We believe experiencing music with others is far more rewarding than learning alone. Therefore we partner students of similar level in order to learn together.

  • We do not offer private lessons. However, we do offer online private tutoring (a la carte) for students who:

    • Have missed class;

    • Require additional help;

    • Joined the Super Guitar Teams program late in the season;

    • Want to prepare to join Super Guitar Teams.

    Note: Students must be in a class or preparing to join a class to receive private tutoring.

  • Each student in Guitar 1 or Guitar 2 requires an annual supply fee. Try Guitar does not require a supply fee. The annual supply fee helps pay for a guitar strap, team shirt, recital venue, prizes, and class supplies.

  • If you have prior experience, you may be able to test out of Guitar 1 and be placed into Guitar 2. To be evaluated for eligibility, you will need to schedule a private online tutoring session with me. Please select 30 minute Tutoring in our student store here.

  • Yes of course! This is a great opportunity to learn the guitar and share this experience together! If you know anyone else who may be interested in learning guitar - friends, siblings, cousins, parent, or grandparent - please feel free to invite them to join!

    Q: What if I'm a parent and my child is a student? Can I learn in order to help them?

    Yes! There are a few ways we can do this:

    • You can sit in on class with a guitar observing and self-learning in order to help your child, (Parents, I can give you private online tutoring outside of class as needed) OR;

    • You can become a student yourself and join your child’s class! We currently have parents in the same class with their children and it works great!

  • A 7 year old can join Super Guitar Teams under the condition that, one parent must co-learn with them in class in order to help them practice at home. These parents will have the option to join the class as either a student or assistant. This means:

    • Student - The parent would be a member of the class/team, wearing a team shirt, competing on the school leaderboard and helping their team earn points.

    • Assistant - The parent would assist their child in class, but not as a member of the team. We will not charge these parents tuition.
