Super Guitar Teams (SGT) goes beyond traditional lessons. Rooted in the science of play, our game-structured curriculum is designed to keep students motivated, focused, and proud of their progress. This is edutainment done right: real education, powered by modern game design, and built for how today’s kids already love to learn.

a four-year path to proficiency

SGT is a full structured program, not a short-term class. Beginner students start in Guitar 1 with little to no experience and progress through four structured levels. Each introducing new skills, awesome songs, and challenges that match their growth.

Like a rock band in training, each class forms a small team of 4, helping each other grow and stay motivated over the course of the year. Most challenges in SGT require students to take on unique roles and work together to progress! These unique roles allow students to discover their musical identity, contribute to their team, and personalize their learning experience.

Students earn and collect badges they can attach to their official guitar straps, showing off their progress, commitment, and year-to-year milestones as they learn.

We see first-hand how enriching music can be for our families. That’s why parents are invited to co-learn alongside their child during the first year, free of charge - our gift to you! This can be a great way to support your child, create memories, and maybe learn some cool songs yourself!

where is super guitar teams offered?

    • Monthly tuition is $115 per student. Parents' can co-learn for free for the 1st year.

    • Each student in our program requires a $100 annual supply fee.

    • The annual supply fee helps pay for a guitar strap, team shirt, end-of-year graduation party, prizes, and class supplies.

    • Super Guitar Teams is designed for absolute beginners! No prior experience is required!

  • We are a hybrid of both. We teach semi-private lessons (4 student class size), which gives us the benefits of both formats.

  • Our classes are for ages 8 years to adult. 7 year olds can join Super Guitar Teams under the condition that, one parent must co-learn with them in class in order to help them practice at home.

  • GUITAR 1:

    • FALL SEASON, *September 2024 - May 2025 (Lessons switch to our SGT Guitar Symphony over the summer)

    • WINTER SEASON, January 2025 - July 2025 (This accelarated course catches students up so they’re ready for Guitar 2 by Septemer. Lessons will break for the month of August.)

    TRY GUITAR:

    • Classes monthly year-round. Availability is limited.

    *No classes on the week of Christmas and Thanksgiving. Jordan School District calendars will not effect classes. Recreation closures and events may effect classes. You will have access to our yearly calendar.

  • In most cases yes! However, you will need a quick virtual evaluation for placement. Please schedule a free evaluation here. Often, students require 3-4 private online tutoring sessions in order to catch up.

  • Yes, you will need a guitar for daily at home practice. However, we do bring spare guitars students can use in our Try Guitar class!

  • If you have prior experience, you may be able to test out of Guitar 1 and be placed into Guitar 2. To be evaluated for eligibility, you will need to schedule a private online tutoring session with me. Please select 30 minute Tutoring in our student store here.
